What is LT-LEDS?
LT-LEDS stands for Long Term Low-Emissions Development Strategies. These strategies represent a country’s long-term roadmap for achieving net-zero or low-carbon development, aligned with national priorities and sustainable development goals. It is a formal submission by countries to the UNFCCC under Article 4, paragraph 19 of the Paris Agreement
What is the purpose of the LEDS Research and Action Platform?
The purpose of the LEDS Research and Action Platform is to:
- Track and inform progress on LEDS across national, state, and district levels
- Evaluate real-world project impacts to identify what drives effective low-carbon transitions
- Identify and scale locally relevant, replicable solutions
- Convene government, academia, private sector, and civil society for collective learning and collaboration
- Build capacity through training and sharing best practices
- Offer data-driven insights to bridge policy and implementation gaps and inform long-term strategy
